DTF Gang Sheet Layout Calculator

Estimate copies per sheet for identical rectangular graphic footprints using your confirmed usable area and spacing. This free calculator compares 0° and 90° uniform grids and can estimate sheets for a requested quantity. It does not optimize nesting or confirm production fit. See current gang sheet pricing.

Gang sheet layout calculator

Enter confirmed usable sheet dimensions, graphic bounding-box dimensions, and spacing between neighboring graphics, all in inches. Spacing is between copies, not outside edges. Enter plain decimals with a leading digit and at most 3 decimal places. Graphic and usable dimensions must be 0.001–1000 inches; spacing must be 0–1000 inches. Optional requested copies must be an integer from 1–1000000. These are calculator limits, not production or printable-area limits.

Positive whole number, 1–1000000.

Planning estimate for identical rectangular footprints. Confirm usable area and spacing in the ordering tool, then inspect your actual layout before ordering. This does not create a print-ready sheet or guarantee production fit.

Uniform-grid formulas

At 0 degrees: columns = floor((usable width + gap) / (graphic width + gap)); rows = floor((usable height + gap) / (graphic height + gap)); count = columns × rows.

At 90 degrees, swap graphic width and height in the same formula. Only these two uniform grids are compared; graphics are not mixed in rotation or nested.

Worked example: Usable area 22 × 24 inches, graphic 10 × 8 inches, gap 0 inches: at 0 degrees, 2 columns × 3 rows = 6; at 90 degrees, 2 columns × 2 rows = 4. The higher count of these two uniform grids is 6.
